Today I am jumping back into this photo...

This is one of my favorite photos of M & I. 

This was taken at the Miami Zoo in May of 2009. I seriously wish I could jump back into this photo right now! It was a hot day, we rented a car and drove from Fort Lauderdale to Miami in the morning so we could check out the zoo. It was SO MUCH FUN! After a few hours of checking out the wildlife, we noticed some GIANT black clouds up ahead....we ran to our car just in time before a crazy thunder storm hit...and boy was it crazy - lightning like you wouldn't believe! It was a day we'll never forget:)

It's Thursday, Friends! 

 My calves and hamstrings are so sore today. I'm not sure if its from my Kettleworx workouts or from our shitty mattress. M & I both wake up every day feeling like 90 year olds with aches and pains. 

Today was a rough one. I snoozed 3 times and wished it was Friday....sadly it's not.

On the bright side though Thursday means one thing.... 

It's time for me to participate in one of my favorite link ups!

So Its Ok...
That instead of ironing the bottom of my shirt this morning I opted to tuck it in to hide the wrinkles
That as I was walking out the door this morning my gray cat ran up against my leg and put fur all over my black pants.....and I didn't go back in to use the lint roller
That I made a healthy bowl of oatmeal this morning.... then added a handful of chocolate chips to the top
That I just did a webinar at work and when it was over realized everyone was on mute....so I had to do it all over again
That I am feeling overwhelmed to choose my wedding flowers this weekend because I have too many great ideas swimming around in my head
That I didn't want to go to the grocery store on an empty stomach last night so I stopped for pizza first....and had some wine too
That I want to create a paper chain that shows how many days until I am in Hawaii....because I think it would be fun to rip off a link every morning
That I want to see the Hunger Games again this weekend
That I had a dream last night that I was selected to be a tribute in the Hunger Games and the only weapons they gave me was a bunch of bananas....Maybe I'm eating too much fruit?

I started it last week and I'm on Chapter 15 right now. This is down right the filthiest piece of literature I've ever laid eyes on...... but I can't get enough of it! 

Seriously....you will feel like you need to open the windows and get some fresh air after each chapter....it's THAT filthy!

Moving on....

I'm having serious writer's block today.....so I was happy to login to Blogger this morning to see my friend Laura from Under the Suburban Sun had "tagged" me in her post.

Here are Laura's questions.....

1. Do you consider yourself a city or a country girl?

I'm definitely a country girl! I hate public transportation, walking long distances and rats....I could never live in the city!

2. What would your dream job be?

My dream job from when I was a kid to now has certainly changed. 20 years ago I think I would have told you I want to be a princess....today I'd like to continue working in the marketing/social media field but would love to market for some really exciting company or brand....maybe something fashion or travel related!

3. If you went shopping and could only purchase one item, what would it be?

What a great question! And a challenging one...hmmm...ummm...makeup...no....jewelry...no...SHOES! Yes definitely shoes:)

4. What is your all time favorite movie?

Its really really hard for me to pick just one. You can go ahead and laugh at me all you want but the movies I could watch over and over and never get tired of are Heavyweights, Captain Ron and Dirty Dancing:)

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Always needing things to be MY WAY. Think Monica from Friends here....I like my house organized and cleaned the way I like it....no buts about it.

6. What is your absolute favorite meal?

My dad's stuffed shells. He always let me help him make them when I was a kid. It's a secret family recipe!

7. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would do?

Pay off my debt and pay my parents back for all of these outrageous wedding costs!

8. What would make your day?

It wouldn't take much today.....a grande vanilla iced coffee from Starbucks might do the trick! And winning that lottery we were just talking about wouldn't hurt either:)

9. How many times a week do you celebrate happy hour?

My girls and I meet every Friday night at a local restaurant for Spanish wine and Sangria - so at least once a week:)

10. What are your favorite boy and girl names?

Griffin and Avery

11. What would your dream vacation consist of and where would it be?

I've ALWAYS wanted to go to Hawaii and guess what? I'll be there in about 3 months!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it:)

My wedding dress fitting went swimmingly

I am half way through writing out our wedding invitations

I scored some great deals shopping for bikinis and sundresses for the honeymoon

Sissy and I are into week 5 of the kettleworx training

We made it to the end of the work week and we made it to Hunger Games premiere weekend!! YAY!
First things first. I have a question for you ladies.  
Q: What is  better than seeing this on your door step??

A: NOTHING!

I had this bad boy waiting on my front steps when I got home yesterday! My new boots are in! M & I are doing a "Rock the Dress" photo shoot the Sunday after our wedding and I wanted to wear boots instead of stilettos for a more "rustic" look....What do you think??

2 DAYS & Its OK Thursdays!

Happy Thursday, Friends!

I slept like a rock last night and now I feel completely refreshed! While laying in bed this morning (avoiding getting up) I was checking my e-mails and looking at my calendar on my iPhone. I can't BELIEVE my first wedding gown fitting is THIS Saturday!!! 

Remember THIS POST where I was freaking out because I was 73 days away from the dress fitting?? Well now I'm 2 days away so you can imagine the excitement!

Here's a little preview....

I can't wait to put these babies on and practice walking in them while wearing the dress!

So Its Ok...
That since I was home alone last night and wanted a good night's sleep....I got into bed at 8:45:)
That I have a pony tail bump in my hair and wore it down today anyway
That the 80+ degree temperatures today are making it very hard to do any work at work
That I can't stop having "wedding nightmares." The last one consisted of my sister showing up to the ceremony in ripped jeans and flip flops and refusing to change (this is SO unlike her too!)
That I turned on the air conditioning last night....in March
That I wish I was at the beach right now with a pina colada in my hand
That I can't decide which bikinis to order from Victoria's Secret this year so I keep just adding to my shopping cart.

We've made it to Hump Day!!!

I'm so excited that the week is half over. I worked from home on Monday and this week is STILL managing to drag. Maybe its because I'm excited to see the Hunger Games in IMAX on Friday night?
No...not maybe....that's definitely why!

M is out of town for work so that means I have a night alone with my DVR:) I have lots of Bethenny, Dance Moms and Real Housewives to catch up on....fantastic:)

Mug Swap Reveal!

She's a sweetheart and she chose a FANTASTIC mug from Pier 1 for me! I love it. It's huge, brightly colored and fits my personality perfectly....

She also threw in some yummy vanilla Starbucks coffee. Starbucks is my FAVORITE and guess what? Vanilla is my favorite Starbucks flavor. Jenn knew me so well:) Thanks again, girl!!

Today I am jumping back into this photo...

This was taken on M's birthday in 2010. A bunch of friends came over to our condo, we grilled out, played drinking games on the lawn, card games inside, caught some rays, then hit up some bars in New Hampshire at night. This was taken at one of my favorite bars in the area, The Peddler's Daughter. We danced and sang along with a cover band, said cheers to the birthday boy, ate late night pizza and burgers and made some memories.
Bring me back there now!

In a Groove & Its Ok Thursdays!

I can't believe it's already Thursday! 

Is this week FLYING by for anyone else?? It's fantastic. 

I'm happy to report that my sissy and I are through week 3 of our Kettleworx training. 

Remember this post here where I told you about our 6 week workout program?? Well since we are enjoying it so much we've decided to ramp it up a bit and we are working out 6 days a week instead of 3! It feels amazing! Yesterday was the 100 day mark until my wedding and sissy and I figured it'd be a perfect time to kick our workouts into high gear! 

I want you to all cross your fingers for me though.... that I don't burn myself out and then quit working out all together and go on a junk food eating binge....cuz this has been known to happen!!
I think I'm finally in a groove though and I'm gonna stick this out!

So Its Ok....
That the french toast flavored coffee I'm drinking would be better if it was an actual plate of french toast...with powdered sugar....and lots of syrup.
That I think bird seed would taste better than the oatmeal I'm eating right now. 
That I burnt the sh*t out of my right hand on a 400 degree oven last night because I'm clumsy.
That I was running late today because I had to use my left hand to do everything this morning....hence my hairdo today.
That I replaced my "green smoothie" with a McDonalds Shamrock shake on Tuesday night.
That I've been spoiled with the nice weather we've been having and now I'm already ready for summer.
That we accidentally locked one of my cats in the bathroom for a few hours last night...Sorry Garfield!
That all I want to do right now is lay on the couch and catch up on my DVR.
That I apparently scheduled my gyno appt Tuesday on a day my doc was being shadowed by a male med student.
That I asked the male med student to step out of the room during the exam because it was stressing me out.
That I used retail therapy and Moscato to relax from the stress of my appt after it was over:)

How Pinteresting Wednesday!

Happy Hump Day, friends!! 

New England weather never fails to disappoint us. Yesterday it was 70 degrees in Boston. The sun was shining, I had the windows open and all of the store fronts had their doors open to welcome the warm breeze.

We were all fools though if we thought New England was going to let the weather stay like that.....I went to bed at 10 and was woken up at 11:30 by hail, high winds, lightning shining in my face and deafening thunder! The curtains were blowing like crazy because we had our windows open...big mistake! Now today we've dropped about 20 degrees and its dark and rainy....typical New England.....I can't wait to be on the beaches of Hawaii!!!!

Moving on....

M and I treated ourselves to a little retail therapy the other night.....at the Wine & Liqueur Outlet!

Nothing better than having a variety of wine chilling in your wine rack:)
