Project Night Night & Michele's Baby Shower!

On Sunday I co-hosted my sister's baby shower. Due to the {previously mentioned} storm we had in New England, we were concerned a lot of people wouldn't show up! Luckily almost everyone made it out, without their showers or curling their hair due to the power outage! Fortunately for us, the restaurant we held the event at lost their power AFTER they finished cooking us our brunch! We "showered" Michele in the dark and it turned out to be a wonderful day with a wonderful story she can tell her baby girl, Madyson.

Instead of forcing the women at the event to play "baby bingo" or "guess how many diapers are in this box" we decided to let everyone chill out, enjoy a mimosa and socialize with eachother. In honor of our guests and Baby Madyson, we made a donation to Project Night Night. This foundation makes "night night bags" for children in homeless shelters to ease their stress. Each bag contains a stuffed animal, a blanket, and an age-appropriate book. To learn more, check out http://www.projectnightnight.org/!
